Account Executive, Television/Media Sales
Job Description

WHVL-TV (State College, PA) is seeking an experienced media sales individual (2+ years television or media sales preferred) to join our team as a Account Executive in our advertising sales department with a concentration in local sales in the Altoona/Johnstown/State College area. This position will take responsibility for selling advertising to businesses and advertising agencies to achieve the predetermined monthly revenue goals./

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; generation of revenues for WHVL-TV through the sale of commercial TV advertising, developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with advertisers in order to generate and retain business, collection of all account balances, attendance and participation in sales meetings, training programs and conferences as directed, completion of required documentation and reporting for the proper processing of contracts, call sheets and sales reports, adherence to all company policies and procedures and other duties as assigned.

Qualified applicants should have; Bachelor’s degree or several years of sales experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency with computer software and technology, professional appearance and demeanor, adequate transportation and valid driver’s license. Compensation commensurate with experience includes benefit package.
